In Soviet Russia, music make you

In preparation for the Melbourne Cup long weekend i thought i would provide you with some tunes to pass the time. Presenting the best thing to come out of Russia since Stalin. Oh wait....

The first track is a brand spanking new in-house job from the masterminds at Turbo Recordings. Turbo (founded and run by Tiga) is the home of Russian man of mystery, Proxy. Proxy is the name behind Raven, the absolutely huuugeee festival track of last year. It was announced a while back that Proxy had an EP in the making, but it was all very secretive. A few live set rips of his tracks were available, but they just served to wet the tastebuds for what was soon to come. Finally, we can listen to the single from this ep, titled "8000". It isn't yet available to download so just check out the vid below, however Tiga has been closing his live sets with this track for the past few months and this is my tip as being the new Mars-esque festival sensation. The reason i say this is an "in-house job" by the Turbo boys is because not only was the track produced by Proxy, but fellow Turbo-er (ite?) Thomas Von Party (Tiga's brother) was responsible for directing the video. Shweet vid, and as usual keeping with Proxy's mad-dawgg Soviet theme.

Allow yourself to get over that communist creation and prepare for another. In keeping with the sucking-proxy's-dick theme of this post, the next track is a remix he did for Zombie Nation after the release of their album, Zombielicious, earlier this year. The track is Shottieville, and in my opinion was a seriously overlooked track on this album. Anyway, Proxy has done what he does and added some massive drops whilst keeping with the original theme of the track. Have a geeze, uleh:

Shottieville (Proxy Remix) - Zombie Nation

Who would have picked Proxy to remix a Peaches song? The trailer trash crack whore behind albums such as "Fatherfucker" and "Impeach My Bush", and tracks such as "Fuck The Pain Away" is also responsible for "I Feel Cream" (I don't even wanna know what that means). An uninspiring track on its own, it has been brought to life by the AK-toting Soviet, and is actually...sorta....awesome.

I Feel Cream (Proxy Remix) - Peaches

Lastly, another in-house special from Turbo. It's What You Need (Proxy Remix) by Tiga. Huuugggeee track and was dropped by Tiga and A-Trak at Parklife. If you haven't had it for like...ages, you need to get out more.
