Remixes Are Fun

Get Physical Music, the label behind artists such as Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y, Dakar and Djuma Soundsystem have recently released Body Language Volume 8, this time with the the German duo of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary (AKA Modeselektor) behind the decks. These boys have pretty much the widest music palate that you're likely to find, whether it be bottomed-out bass-heavy reggae, hip-hop and dubstep or epic chill times, it is all present in their original work and even more obvious in their Body Language compilation.
Here is a taster of one track from the compilation, it's Djedjotronic's Dirty & Hard (originally released on Boys Noize Records volume 1) mixed with Trilingual Dance Sexperience by The Dorian Project. Strange track, but somehow cool...

Remixed song of the day for me is Night By Night, by the Canadian synth-pop duo, Chromeo. One of the Chromeo dudes is A-Trak's brother, and the other one is just a mad snake. Calling themselves "The only successful Arab/Jew partnership since the dawn of human culture", these guys pump out some bouncy, fun tunes, and Night By Night has become a remix favourite for other dj's and producers. The first edit is from Germany's Siriusmo, and is a happy, trebley track perfect for a summer's day chill. The second is by Skream, and is alot lighter than some of his other stuff, but will still make your spleen bleed if you turn the bass up too high.
